Are you available around my due date?
Obviously your due date is unique and should you make a booking I will be available for two weeks prior to your due date and for two weeks after.
Can you help me draw up a Birth Plan?
Yes! We can go through your birth preferences during one of our antenatal meetings.
Will you support my partner and if so how? In my role as a Doula I am there to help support your partner in whatever way they wish. This might be allowing them to make phone calls, grab a drink or have a sandwich in the knowledge that you are being supported in their absence or giving them the encouragement and reassurance they may need to help you.
How long will you stay with me before and after the birth?
I will attend you as soon as you want me to during labour, either at your home or if you wish, I will meet you at the hospital of your choice. I will then stay with you until you, your partner and baby are settled and you are happy for me to leave you.
Do you draw up a written contract?
Yes, I draw up a contract detailing the services you are requiring, the number of ante and post natal visits, my commitment to you during and immediately after your labour, my fees and payment schedule.
How do I contact you?
You will be given home and mobile telephone numbers, together with my email address. You are most welcome to contact me before, during and after the birth with any questions or concerns you may have.
